Alice
Wisler is
living
vicariously
through
the heroine in her October
release Hatteras Girl
(Bethany House). “What
inspired me to write
Hatteras Girl comes in the
form of salty sea air and
old homes,” Alice explains.
“Over the decades, as I’ve
visited the coastal towns
of New Bern, Beaufort,
Emerald Isle and Nags
Head, the desire to have a
bed-and-breakfast on the
North Carolina shore has
flourished. I’ll probably
never be able to put wings
on that dream; I decided
to let my character,
Jackie, hold that longing.”

Many readers will find a
kindred spirit in Jackie,
who desires only three
things in
life: a
wonderful,
honest man
to marry;
her own
B&B in the
Outer
Banks; and no more blind
dates set up by her family!
