The idea for Dani Pettrey’s debut novel Submerged (Bethany House) came while she was watching a movie about cave divers. “I asked myself, what type of person would willingly undertake such a dangerous endeavor?” Dani explains. “How could that person use their love and hunger for adventure to help others? That’s when my character Cole McKenna was born.
