Worthy Publishing Signs Neta and Dave Jackson

(October 22, 2012)
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Worthy Publishing announces the signing of best-selling authors Neta and Dave Jackson for a multi-book fiction series titled “The Neighborhood,” set to launch in May of 2013. The Jacksons are best known for the Yada Yada Prayer Group series, which has sold more than 800,000 copies, and the Trailblazer series with sales of more than 1.7 million copies.

“I’m honored to work with Neta and Dave Jackson once again,” said Byron Williamson, president of Worthy Publishing. “I had the distinct privilege to launch the Yada Yada Prayer Group series while at Integrity Publishers, so having the Jacksons join us at Worthy is a celebratory homecoming.”

It’s not often that something genuinely new and exciting comes along in Christian fiction. With “The Neighborhood,” Dave and Neta will introduce a new storytelling technique called "Parallel Novels"—each with its own drama and story arc, but with characters’ whose lives become intertwined. The Jacksons will also continue to draw on their proven strengths for multi-ethnic, relationally driven stories as they welcome readers to Beecham Street, a typical isolated and distrustful American neighborhood—until a tragic near-death accident.

Included among this team’s award-winning work is Neta’s 2010 Christy Award for best contemporary series and a 2009 nomination for the Romantic Times Career Achievement award. In addition, her title Who Do I Talk To? was named one of Library Journal’s Best Books of 2009, and Who Is My Shelter? was honored as 2011 Best Inspirational Novel by Romantic Times.
