Author Diann Hunt, 58, Passes Away
“Working with Diann was such a delight. I will deeply miss her quirky sense of humor, her ceaseless dedication to the craft, and her unwavering love for her readers,” said Ami McConnell, Senior Acquisitions Editor, HarperCollins Christian Publishing. Hunt will be remembered for her delight in the Lord and her family, and a desire to serve the Fiction community.
“The ending of Hot Flashes and Cold Cream sums up Diann's philosophy,” said Colleen Coble, Hunt’s dear friend and fellow author. “She wrote: ‘I will live this life that God has given me with gusto, not wasting a single moment but using it as He intended. And when my journey here is over, I plan to skid into Glory with a smile on my face, a Bible in one hand, a chocolate truffle in the other, and I will yell at the top of my lungs: Daddy, I’m home.’ She showed us how to do that when she was well and when she was battling cancer. A part of her will always be with me.”
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, in Hunt’s native Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials are to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (ncm.org). Obituary and online guest book at http://bit.ly/IFzmZl.
