The VeggieTales characters are no longer just teaching Christian values, they are also teaching reading skills. Zonderkidz is releasing four new VeggieTales books in the popular early reader I Can Read series, written by Karen Poth. Different genres are featured in each book, from Jr. Asparagus entering a battle of the bands to the Old West themed The Fairest Town in the West to a hard-boiled detective story to Bob and Larry’s Creation Vacation, in which Bob and Larry travel the world to discover God’s creation in seven days. Like the video series, these books are intended to inspire, educate, and entertain kids with faith-based tales.
