About The Author

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Michele Andrea Bowen started telling stories from an early age -- and, as an 8-year-old, started writing them down when her mother suggested it would be easier to read all that Michele was making up and trying to tell her mother at any given time. Michele was on her way to becoming a history professor when the writing bug really hit and she began work on what became her first novel, Church Folk.
