Vannetta Chapman knows a thing or two about
writing strong-willed women, and that’s no certainly
no exception with her latest title, A Promise For
Miriam (Harvest House). The author says the novel
was inspired by personal experience. “After visiting
the Amish in the Cashton area, I was captivated by
their friendliness, their faith and their stories—
which they freely shared with me,” Chapman says.
“As a teacher, it only took one walk through an area
schoolhouse to envision Miriam and her love for her
students.”
