For her debut, Looks Like Love (WestBow), Brandy Bruce was inspired by romantic comedies where travel abroad is integral to the story. “I went to London several years ago and just loved it,” she says. “When this story of this brokenhearted girl popped into my head, I thought wouldn’t it be fun to write a book about a girl rediscovering what love looks like in her life— and who gets to travel to London in the process? The rest is history.”

Brandy Bruce fell in love with reading when her mother read her such children's classics as The Pokey Little Puppy and Good Night, Little Bear. As she grew up she did a lot of reading and writing, and eventually got a job at a Christian publishing house. Currently a developmental book editor, she spends much of her time reading, writing, editing and working with authors. She and her family make their home in Colorado.
