Jesus used stories to teach many difficult concepts. In the latest of Elena Pasquali’s “Two Minute” storybooks, The Lion Book of Two Minute Parables (Kregel), these stories are retold for parents and children to read together. Pasquali has selected ten of Jesus’ most famous stories, including The Sower, Ten Bridesmaids, and the Runaway Son. With lively illustrations by Nicola Smee and written in easy to read language, the parables are meant to engage young children as well as teach them the important lessons found within. The stories also include speech bubbles and sound effects, allowing even the earliest readers to interact with the stories.
