Tyndale House Releases The Last Temple in August.

CAROL STREAM, IL— Tyndale House Publishers releases The Last Temple, marking the conclusion of the provocative Last Disciple series from bestselling author and respected theologian Hank Hanegraaff and award-winning fiction author and history buff Sigmund Brouwer. Set among ancient Rome’s emperors, gladiators, soldiers, and slaves, this engaging series of historical fiction explores the question, “What if the prophesies of Revelation have already been fulfilled?”

Set in the turbulent years just before one of the most horrendous events in Jewish history, The Last Temple concludes the trilogy of The Last Disciple and The Last Sacrifice. Vitas is reunited with his wife and retires to Alexandria, determined to live a quiet, domestic life. But he can’t avoid the debts that he owes to the men who saved him, and he becomes a key figure in the plot to rid the empire of Nero. It sweeps him into the “year of four emperors,” when the Roman Empire is nearly destroyed, and takes him back to Jerusalem as Titus lays siege to the great city. Only then, as the prophecy of Jesus begins coming to fulfillment, does Vitas discover the true mission set before him and the astounding conspiracy behind it.

Why is this story interesting/newsworthy?
The Last Temple, while a fiction title, presents much to talk about as Hank serves as president and chairman of the board of the North Carolina-based Christian Research Institute International. He is also host of the Bible Answer Man radio program which is broadcast across the U.S. and Canada, as well as internationally via the internet. Hank’s book, and his eschatology, beg the question: “What if the prophesies of Revelation have already been fulfilled.” The Preterist viewpoint for this series is very different from the Dispensationalist viewpoint presented in the bestselling, Left Behind series.
