The Bruise Brothers

(Deep River)
tells of two very different sons of
a hometown NFL legend who is
now the high-school football coach.
One has his father’s rugged skills
on the field. The other has a rocksolid
faith. Joe Jankowski says, “I
wrote The Bruise Brothers to provide
mature teens and adults with
an entertaining, exciting story that
demonstrates the practical application
of Christian principles to serious
contemporary moral issues.”
The story also has roots in
Jankowski’s own life. “The main
character, Andy Bruszynski, is
adopted and my wife and I have
two adopted sons, so part of our
real-life experiences are reflected
in the book,” he shares.
