Widowed at 34, amateur harpist Marie “Angel” Buchan realizes at 40 that her life and dreams are slowly slipping away. A summer in a small coastal village in Scotland finds her unexpectedly drawn into a love triangle involving the local curate and the local duke. Prolific author Michael Phillips says a period of solitude at his Scottish fisherman’s cottage produced his latest novel, Angel Harp (FaithWords). “I was there for about a month prior to my wife Judy’s arrival. I suppose I was feeling the loneliness of being without her and decided to write a story set right there in our village about a harpist—my wife is a harpist.”
