Under the direction of Steve Feldman, Rebeca Seitz and various others in the film industry, churches in the Naples, Fl, area have banded together with Reload Pictures to host their first Christian Film Festival on February 24—25, 2012.

Spirit of Naples and southwest Florida (SON) Film Festival will kick off on Friday, February 24, with a dinner and keynote address by Michael Flaherty, President of Walden Media (Walden.com). Walden is known for its films The Chronicles of Narnia, Bridge to Terabithia, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Ramona and Beezus, and Nim’s Island.

Saturday events will open at 9 A.M. with the screening of The Grace Card,
starring Michael Joiner and written/produced by Howard Klausner, who will be available to answer questions afterward. The festival’s first panel, “But What Does It Mean,” will start at noon, addressing the meaning of the word “Christian” in reference to films and filmmakers. The afternoon hours will bring a screening of the film Of Gods and Men, and will then conclude with two additional panels discussing a Christian filmmaker’s responsibilities and choices for the big screen.

Tickets are available now, and seating is limited. To purchase by phone call 239-434-5811, or visit SONFilmFest.com.
