Disconnect. Reconnect. Brings Relevant Message to Modern Families

(January 28, 2013)

(Rock Rapids, IA) - A modern family loses sight of what's important in life when they grow too dependent on technology in Disconnect. Reconnect., a new family DVD now available from Bridgestone Multimedia Group.

When a mysterious glitch unplugs all the conveniences of modern communication, Mark Van Der Poole and his family are forced to adjust their frantic lives that are bound to gadgets too numerous to count. Without the Internet or their cell phones, the Van Der Pooles suffer a sudden withdrawal from their devices. Now they're forced to face the best and worst in each other, as they explore old fashioned fun, family, and faith. In the process, they rediscover the real connectedness they hadn't even realized they had lost.

Families will appreciate the movie's relevant message about taking a time-out from technology to put your priorities into perspective. Disconnect. Reconnect. challenges us to examine our own habits, reminding us to realize that no communication can take the place of human contact.

"This DVD shows very vividly that God can save anyone," said Edwin L. Carpenter in his review for the Dove Foundation. "This movie features a nice message too about getting away from technology from time to time to spend more quality time with one's family."

Produced by Blended Planet Pictures and directed by David Weese (Healed by Grace), Disconnect. Reconnect. stars Tony Lemmon, Dawn Steveson, Conner Bland, and Jayce Rothrock.

Awarded the Family Approved Seal for viewers of all ages, Disconnect. Reconnect. is now available from Bridgestone Multimedia Group at for $19.95.
