Luis Serrano wanted to tell the story of “the original superhero”—Samson. “His story, from beginning to end, is filled with incredible events,” Serrano says. In producing the comic book Samson the Nazirite, he and his team—co-writer Tiffany Serrano, penciler Nadir Balan, inker Mostafa Moussa, and colorist Liezl Buenaventura—have worked to create a comic with action and visuals on par with Marvel or DC.
But their ultimate goal is to get “people to read the story and then to pick up their Bibles to read the actual biblical account,” Serrano says. “Then I hope they continue reading, and develop a passion for God’s word.”
