Where is God’s justice? Does anyone hear the prayers of the abused,
those too broken and weak to defend themselves? Why does it seem that so
often the unjust escape punishment on the earth? Justice Quinn deals
with each of these questions, as well as the concept of intercessory
prayer, in order to help us understand why God’s timing must be
reverenced.

WHAT LED YOU TO WRITE JUSTICE QUINN AND THE BEAUTIFUL JUSTICE SERIES?
Justice Quinn is the sequel to Bella Maura and Book Two of the Beautiful Justice series. Bella Maura was written for the heart of young women everywhere, including those who have struggled with abuse. Justice Quinn parallels this idea, but was written for the heart of young men. Bella Maura‘s central themes are love, beauty, and prayer, while Justice Quinn‘s are justice, faith and valor. In my opinion, the in-depth understanding of these key elements is necessary to achieve complete healing and wholeness for the individual. This experiential knowledge also lends itself to relational stability in marriages, parenting, etc., especially during these challenging times. This is a fictional series designed to help and support young adults by chronicling characters as they come to understand these concepts for themselves and step into relationships with God and with each other. The answers to their far-reaching questions come via revelation once they start believing and accepting the ways of Christ—much the same as it happens for dedicated Christians in actuality. The Beautiful Justice series will consist of at least three books. The third is in the making and the one I am the most excited about!

STARTING OUT, WHO WERE THE AUTHORS WHO INSPIRED YOU? WHO INSPIRES YOU NOW?

I am still inspired by my initial four favorite authors. Joyce Meyer has an amazing way of making scripture relevant to everyday life. She has a God-given gift for transforming souls. George MacDonald is very impressive in the way that he used fiction to portray his sermons. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a timeless genius. I like to read him because I can’t come close to his mastery of the written word—this elected torture keeps me humble. Saint Paul rose from his past of persecuting Christians to write two-thirds of the New Testament. I shudder to think what would have happened to truth if he had given up somewhere in the middle. His story alone proves what one man can do under God.

HOW DOES YOUR FAITH INFLUENCE YOUR WRITING?

When I truly accepted Christ as my Savior, I felt the need to tell others. I’m not a talker by nature, but somehow I discovered I could write while I was doing my private Bible studies. So far, His grace has been on my writing and my books only come about through a great deal of prayer and the mercy of His revelation to me.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN YOU WANTED TO BE AN AUTHOR?

I wanted to be a writer since I was saved around 2000/2001.

WHAT DO YOU MOST HOPE THAT READERS GET FROM READING YOUR WORK?

I hope my readers develop a personal love affair with Jesus Christ and a newly found devotion to His ways. Honestly, this must happen before we can truly and effectively love anyone else, including ourselves.
