Since 1979, The Picture
Bible
has brought the
Bible alive. Now, David C.
Cook brings the Bible alive
for a new generation with
The Action Bible, an
updated version drawn by
comic book artist Sergio
Cariello. The artist
recalls,
“They called
and asked,
‘Would you
like to do
The Picture
Bible?’ I said,
‘Are you kidding? It’d be a
lifetime achievement for
me! I grew up with The
Picture Bible
!’” The
graphic novel took three
years to complete, but for
Cariello it was worth it to
work on something, as he
says, “relevant, with
eternal value.”
