Longing for a change from city life and having heard that Greece’s remote villages treat doctors like royalty, Allie Alexander, MD, moves to the mountains. Her first glimpse of the village — complete with a handsome “knight” on a white horse — is like stepping into an enchanted land. But Allie is soon to learn that the village has all the ingredients of a fairy tale — evil as well as good. The villagers are downright rude and inhospitable, refusing to help with her ramshackle medical clinic. Can Allie’s faith hold strong when even the “white knight” seems to reject her and her God? Will she succeed in helping the villagers — or die trying?

About The Author

Several of Ann Nichol's books play homage to the theme of "Love at First Sight" which seems to be a family tradition. Her Grandparents experienced "Love at First Sight", her parents, herself, and even her son. So it really does happen in real life and with marriages that last lifetimes. Ann lived in Greece for a couple of decades (her husband is Greek) and has grown to know and respect the land and all it has to offer.
