David J. Ferreira attended the University of South Africa for his BA in Creative Writing. As a devout Christian, David J. Ferreira sees writing as his ministry, and he attends the Lewende Woord youth church, in his hometown of Pretoria. He's also established a non-profit organization which makes available funds for teaching illiterate children in rural parts of South Africa.
