As a practicing Manhattan attorney who is married to a veterinarian, Abramson is a past board member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund and a founding member of the New York City Bar Association Committee on Legal Issues relating to Animals. He has won an award from the ASPCA for his work on behalf of animals.
