Shannon Farrington is a former teacher with family ties to both sides of the Civil War. She and her husband have been married for over 20 years, have two children, and are active members in both their church and community.

When Shannon isn't researching or writing, you can find her knitting, gardening or participating in living history reenactments. She and her family live in Maryland.
