Hitting

January,
Dale
Cramer’s
Paradise
Valley
(Bethany
House)
details the drama of an
Amish family seeking
sanctuary in the wilds of
1921 Mexico. Amazingly,
the story is inspired by
actual
events.
“I do
want to be
careful not
to give the
impression that the
events in Mexico
are all historically
accurate,” Cramer says.
“They did have trouble
with bandits, but
the specifics have been
lost, so a lot of what
happens in the book
is speculation, at best.
The characters are
entirely my own
creation, as are many of
their stories.”
