Ginny L. Yttrup debuts with Words (B&H), the story of a 10-year-old sexual abuse victim named Kaylee Wren. In the aftermath of the ongoing cycle of abuse at the hands of her mother’s boyfriend—not to mention dealing with her drug-addicted mother’s total abandonment—Kaylee has actually lost her voice, finding solace in the words she keeps in a box in her mind.

“As soon as I could read, I escaped the pain of abuse by losing myself in stories,” Ginny shares. “I had no idea God would use my written stories for His glory or my pain to help comfort others.”
