This April and May, Faith Street Partners is rolling out the inspirational film King’s Faith to theaters across the country. King’s Faith tells the story of a foster kid who wants to leave behind his turbulent gang life — but his past continues to threaten his new-found faith, family, and future. The film prompts audiences to consider questions that many struggle within our world today: Where do I fit in? How can I stand firm in my faith when life’s challenges put me to the test? Can someone find true forgiveness from their wrong choices?

King’s Faith is a very personal, true-to-life story that will resonate with the realities of families and teens,” says director Nicholas DiBella. “King’s Faith reminds us that our past doesn’t define us,” DiBella says. “No matter where you’ve been, or how lost you feel, you should never give up hope or faith.”

King’s Faith stars Emmy Award winning actress Lynn Whitfield (Eve’s Bayou, The Women of Brewster Place), Crawford Wilson
(Judging Amy, Zoey 101), Kayla Compton (Entourage), and James McDaniel (Malcolm X, NYPD Blue).

The producers have been using a grassroots campaign to drive the distribution of the film; so far, theaters have signed on from Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. (Information below on how to ask for the film to be shown at your local theater.) The producers are also reaching out to youth ministers with special screenings and study guide materials.
