Summerside Press launches its American Tapestries™ Series with two novels from experienced writers Janice Thompson and Melanie Dobson. Intending to release four titles a year, the line focuses on love stories set against the backdrop of an epic point in America’s history. Janice Thompson’s Queen of the Waves tells the tale of Tessa Bowen, a poor Londoner who assumes the identity of a wealthy English girl at her request and finds herself aboard the Titanic, falling for a young American. In Where the Trail Ends, Melanie Dobson hits the Oregon Trail in 1842, as Samantha Waldron and her little brother find themselves at the mercy of the Colombia River when their canoe capsizes. Rescued by Englishman Alexander Clarke, Samantha is dismayed to learn he is already betrothed to another.
