Jill Eileen Smith completes her Wives of King David series with Bathsheba (Revell). Says Jill, “What makes a woman give in to a man who is not her husband? Granted, King David could have commanded her obedience, but I don’t see it that way. Neither do I see her as a temptress.”
Jill points out that the men and women of the Bible are just the same as us. “We can all fall prey to the same temptations, the same sins. And yet God’s grace extends to us in spite of these things, if we will accept it.”
