Romance writer Julie Carobini takes the responsibility of incorporating her faith into her stories seriously. “If I’m going to add a faith thread into my books then I must be in prayer,” the author says. “I must also seek wise counsel—Proverbs 1:5.”

Julie’s latest beachside novel, Fade to Blue (B&H Books), tells the story of single mom and artist, Suz Mitchell, a woman whose faith is evident when confronted with her ex-husband, newly released from jail. “One Sunday morning as I wrestled with the right, godly answer to the heroine’s situation,” Julie says, “my pastor ‘happened’ to preach on the very topic. Yay, God!”

Returning readers to fictional Otter Bay on the Californian coast, Julie incorporates the magnificent Hearst Castle in her tale, with Suz employed to restore original artwork in the castle, planning to leave her heartache in the past and enjoy a new beginning for herself and her young son.

Fade to Blue is for the dreamer in us all, This book is for you dreamers, the ones who hold on and never let go of that dream—no matter what.”
