Kevin Alan Milne says the story for The One Good
Thing
(Center Street) has been “festering” in his
mind since he was a teen. It’s a modern-day take
on the Good Samaritan, exploring the lengths
someone would go to help someone in need. “It
was inspired by my own inability to lend a hand
at a time when a young girl desperately needed a
friend,” Kevin says. “This is the retelling of how
one act of kindness might have changed a life
forever, if only I’d had the courage to try.”
