What can readers expect from the Amish Charm Bakery series?
They will find historical facts for the time period woven into the story, a sweet child and pets, and a very troublesome teenager, and a man she finds attractive descending on Liza’s life. The bakery has all different types of cranky, rude, kind, and pleasant customers, delightful goodies, and turmoil to keep readers entertained.
How do you approach writing about the plain people in a way that’s accurate to their way of life?
I’ve researched their lifestyle by visiting their towns multiple times. I’ve interviewed a number of Amish women, and my husband has talked with Amish men. I’ve bought books written by the Amish, and visited museums and gone on tours giving an overview of the Amish’s history.
What do you hope readers will take away after reading Liza’s Second Chance?
I hope they are entertained and consider their time well-spent reading Liza’s Second Chance, and they’ll look forward to reading the second book in the bakery series, Ellie’s Redemption, releasing in January, 2019.
