While seeking treatment for his crippled son, widowed Texas farmer Daniel Burton (Billy Ray Cyrus) meets Briony Adair (Gina Holden). Dr. Adair, an orthopedist assigned to his son’s case, and Burton start up a charming friendship which soon blossoms into romance. But, the decision to invite Briony back home to Canaan to meet the family for Christmas exposes old wounds that are not so easily healed. It takes a plan concocted by the Burton children as well as a courageous, unselfish act by Daniel, to finally experience the true joy and hope of the season.
