The film follows a mentally challenged teen (Ian Colletti) who sees beings no one else can. Jimmy doesn’t always understand what he sees and hears, but he remembers it all with uncanny accuracy, which is why his lawyer father asks him to testify in a crucial trial. Jimmy’s testimony saves the man from jail but has far-reaching consequences for himself, the people he loves, and their community.

“This movie features themes of overcoming odds and fears, and Jimmy displays these things very well,” said Edwin L. Carpenter in his review for the Dove Foundation, which awarded Jimmy its highest honor of five doves for viewers 12 and older. “The movie contains a strong salvation message.”

Filled with quirky Southern characters who feel familiar but surprise us, the cast includes Ted Levine (Monk), Kelly Carlson (Everwood), Gregory Alan Williams (Remember the Titans), and Bob Gunton (The Shawshank Redemption).
