The theatrical release Unconditional was inspired
by true events in the life of Papa Joe Bradford, the
founder and director of Elijah’s Heart, a nonprofit
that serves inner-city kids and their parents. Lynn
Collins (John Carter, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) plays
a woman whose life is shattered when her husband
is killed. When she reconnects with an old friend, her
life is changed. “My hope for this movie is that it’s
more than entertainment, more than an escape,” says
producer Jason Atkins. “I want it to meet somebody
who doesn’t think they can go on another day. When
they walk out of the theater, I want them to know their
life matters.”
