Joseph Bentz, Ph.D., is a professor of English at Azusa Pacific University. He is the author of four novels and four books of non–fiction, the latest being Pieces of Heaven: Recognizing the Presence of God (Beacon Hill Press). He has won the Silver Angel Award and his novel A Son Comes Home was chosen as one of the Top Ten Christian Novels of the Year by Booklist magazine.
