New York Times bestselling Christian novelist Karen Kingsbury has signed on with Howard Books for ten books — the first title of which hits shelves December 2012. Dubbed by Time magazine the “Queen of Christian Fiction,” Kingsbury has more than 15 million copies of her books in print, including the Baxter Family saga, the Above the Line series, and recent titles Unlocked and Leaving. A motion picture based on her novel Like Dandelion Dust recently released on DVD.

Howard is an imprint of Simon & Schuster. As part of the deal, S&S imprints Pocket Books will produce the titles in mass market paperback and Simon & Schuster Audio will handle the audiobooks.

“Simon & Schuster has shown a tremendous commitment to me, my reader friends and my fiction,” said Kingsbury in a statement. “I am thrilled to be working with such a talented team and the novels ahead will be some of my biggest and best ever.”
