A prolific author and scriptwriter, Barbara’s entry into Amish fiction was inspired by a visit to the Amish community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. “My initial visit exposed me to people of a different religion and culture than mine,” Barbara says. “I found the Amish to be very spiritual and kind people who are living their lives in a simpler way than us in order to focus on their faith and family.” Her Quilts of Lancaster County series continues next year with A Time to Heal (February 2011) and A Time for Peace (August 2011). Her next Amish series, Stitches in Time, kicks off in 2012.
