Award-winning
author Heather Burch presents the first novel in her new series,
Halflings
(Zondervan). Seventeen-year-old Nikki is rescued by three
young men, and then discovers they are half-angels and were sent to
protect her.

Heather
says, “I didn’t want to write Halflings. I was working on another
project that was going famously, and suddenly, this idea that had rested
in the back of my mind for years took me captive. Teenagers. Wings.
Saving the World. The Halflings were all I could think about. So I wrote
the first scene with the intention of jotting down a quick outline,
then getting back to my previous project. One scene became two and
before I knew it, I’d written 275 pages.”
