Big Idea Entertainment To Release Its First-Ever Multi-Superhero DVD
VeggieTales®: The League of Incredible Vegetables (A Lesson In Handling Fear And Trusting God) with original, all-new theme song and music video performed by GRAMMY®-nominated, Dove Award-Winning Group Newsboys
FRANKLIN, TN (July 10, 2012) -- Big Idea Entertainment, a leading studio and producer of children’s and family programming, characters and brands, announced today they will release their first-ever superhero themed DVD title, VeggieTales®: The League of Incredible Vegetables, on October 13 and October 16, 2012 in Christian and general market stores respectively. Based on Psalm 56:3 (ESV) which says, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You,” the title helps teach a lifelong lesson in handling fear, one of the most requested subject topics by VeggieTales fans and families, and includes a brand-new League theme song and music video by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning group, Newsboys.
VeggieTales: The League of Incredible Vegetables is the fourth title in a series of DVD releases that stars the popular “LarryBoy” character. The DVD also introduces four new superheroes played by beloved VeggieTales characters Bob the Tomato, Petunia Rhubarb, Junior Asparagus and Mr. Lunt, all with hilarious superhero abilities. In addition to engaging bonus features, the DVD contains fun music fit for families, and the all-new Silly Song, “Supper Hero.”

VeggieTales: The League of Incredible Vegetables’ campaign launch is supported by a comprehensive marketing, advertising and licensing campaign. Promotional partners signed on include Chuck E. Cheese’s®, Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Stores®, Brother’s-All-Natural® and charity and non-profit groups Focus on the Family® and World Vision®. A series of League of Incredible Vegetables action figures, toys, apps and other products will also roll out beginning this fall.
